There are many different strategies that may help your child practice their music effectively:
1. Pick the most difficult part of the piece and practice that section on its own
2. Practice saying the letters of the notes in a small section
3. Practice saying the number of fingers needed for each note in a small section
4. Clap the rhythm (Use a metronome if needed--search "metronome" and use the one on google!)
5. Pluck a section first, then try it with the bow
6. Watch yourself play in a mirror
7. Play along with one of Ms. Nick's practice tracks
8. Take breaks--don't practice for too long at one time!
9. Practice playing for other people when you're comfortable: parents, siblings, neighbors, pets
10. Create a dedicated area for practicing that is away from noise and distractions.
